December 4 Advent and Elf

Advent Calendar - Go out for a treat

Because our day was so packed, Dylan said that he was okay with going out for a treat later on.  The plan is Sweet CeCe's. Yum

Our elves decided to do a little fishing in a mason jar with gold fish. I don't know why I don't have a picture. I guess it slipped my mind.  Dylan enjoyed eating all the gold fish though. The elves talked about the wise men and how they found Jesus.

Hi Dylan and Natalie,

I am sure you know by now why we celebrate Christmas. Go Jesus, it's your birthday, we're going to party like it's your birthday.

Well Jesus is the most recognized name in the world. That means if I say the name Jesus in Africa, in London, in Australia, anywhere., people are going to know who I am talking about. DId you know that Jesus has many other names.  Here are a few out of the hundreds :

Almighty God, Beloved, Bread of Life, Carpenter, Chosen, Cornerstone, Creator, Emmanuel, Healer, The Just, King, Lion of the Tribe of Juda, Living Water, Messiah, Prince, Redeemer, Seed of David, Shepherd, The Vine, Worthy and the list goes on.

You know what though, he was known as a fisher of men. In the bible Jesus approached some men and he told them to follow him.  Those men were actual fishermen, but Jesus told them that he would make them fisher of men. He wanted to "catch" and bring people so they can know His Father, God.
Cool, huh.

Love,
Batty and Peppermiz

Dylan said Prince and Redeemer were his favorite names :)

That night we had our church Christmas party.  We had tons of food and the kids enjoyed a visit from Santa and Buddy the Elf, not to mention the sweet HD big screen movie in the auditorium where they watched Polar Express.

Natalie and I played in the lights a bit.
