December 3 Advent and Elf

Advent Calendar : Go to a Christmas Parade

(this would have been were I would insert a picture but I did not go to the parade as I had a photography class, and you know when mommy isn't around, there are no pictures)

Dylan and Natalie had a grand time though. Especially Dylan gathering candy.  Like we need more candy around here.
Our elves got a little tricky last night.  They snuck in Dylan's room and painted his nose red.  He was not crazy about this. In fact, he was a little whiny about it.  He wanted it off!

Hi Dylan and Natalie,

Ready to find out about the colors Red and Green and why they are popular christmas colors?  Well, it's pretty simple and way cool.

They weren’t inspired by holiday characters or festive decorations. Red didn’t come from candy canes or Rudolf’s nose or Santa Claus’s suit. And green wasn’t inspired by Santa’s elves, holiday wreaths or sprigs of holly.
The color green is represents eternal life, think an evergreen tree and how it survives through the winter season without losing it's needles (like how other trees loose their leaves). That’s why, in Christian belief, green represents the eternal life of Jesus Christ. The color red symbolizes Christ’s blood which was shed during his crucifixion. Remember how your dad told you the Romans put those long nails in Jesus' hands.  Jesus could have made them stop, but he didn't because he loves you.  His blood shows us that he loves us so much.  How cool!!!
Love,
Batty and Peppermiz

P.S.  Hope you're not mad at us for our prank.
