December 15 Advent and Elf

Advent Calendar : Take gifts to teachers

For our christmas gift to our teachers, we got them gift cards (along with other students) and thanks to pinterest, I made these cans to put all the gift cards in.  It's a can with a pop top tab, that's all jazzed up and superglued on the bottom. The recipient actually gets to pop open the can.

The elves, well you may have noticed, they have been on strike lately. They have not written a letter in a few days and probably will not until Christmas day.  This was becoming a part time job. They need to start earlier and be more prepared next year.  Today, they were captured by Buzz and Rex.  I can only guess they were trying to sneak into Dylan's room to do something.

Dylan also had his school party today.  The kids really enjoyed playing Christmas Bingo.

Natalie enjoyed the freedom of crawling around the room to check things out (oh and I am sure you will see this outfit again.  Nana got it for us and we need to get her money's worth)

For their craft and dessert, the kids got to decorate sugar cookies.  Dylan ate the icing but not the cookie.

As a part of the gift exchange, a mom read Bear Stays up for Christmas.  Each time the word bear was read, the gifts would be traded to the person beside them. At the end of the book, the gift they were holding, became their gift.  Dylan got a Thomas the Train Christmas book.
