My 30th and my booty

Most of you know, that yesterday, I turned 30. I have to say, it wasn't bad. I don't really feel any older, but now, when someone asks me how old I am, I have to say 30. That's the scary part, I am no longer able to say 29. I spent the day, kind of like my birthday last year, grocery shopping, but with a different ending. Instead of going to bible study like last year, my parents and a family friend came to my house and took me to dinner. We went to what my husband calls the Adcock (my maiden name) family restaurant, Logan's (as we frequent the establishment a lot). At the end of the meal, everyone, except my Dad, ordered a brownie dessert. He ordered one of those mini desserts. The brownies were huge!! We could've shared 2 of them instead of getting our own. I brought home my leftover brownie and told Damien about it today. I told him it was in the refrigerator if he wanted some. I came home anticipating brownie, and he ate it all!!! It's okay, I have more chocolate coming my way tomorrow night at my birthday outing.

I bet you are wondering, what's the booty in your title referencing? I am not referring to my tush, but the gifts that I received. Damien got me a kitchen mixer, mini muffin pan, some bowl caddies, pampered chef cookie scoops, mini spatulas and flowers. My friend, former co-worker, Karen, sent me flowers as well. My parents got me a blazer, 2 shirts and get this...a taser.  I was a little scared about receiving a taser, but it makes sense.  You never know when you may not feel so safe and need something extra to protect yourself. (I know what you are thinking, I am going to leave a comment and say, don't tase me bro!)  All this to say, don't mess with me, I am armed and dangerous :)

Close up of the taser...it's the little black thingy towards the front.

Oh my gosh, the taser is SO FUNNY!! So much like parents to want to get that for you. Must protect their precious grandson, ya know!!! Happy Birthday again! It sounds like you had a great time - and more fun still to come. (Jon would've eaten my brownie too...)

Your 30th... really? I know we have talked about it, but I fought with myself (in my brian) and convinced myself that NO WAY was it your 30th... you are way to young and hip!

Anyway, nice loot... I am impressed. Maybe I should have gotten you some eggs =).
