Even though the weather today was nasty, we braved the weather to go to our first MOMS fall party. The party started at 11:30, but Dylan and I got there at 10:30, as we were on the planning committee and had to set up.
Earlier in the week, before Damien went out of town, I had him get down our stroller that we got when we had custody of Tyler. That day, I put Dylan in it to take the dogs for a walk, and he loved it. He held on to the tray the entire time, so he could sit all the way up. Well, my goal was to take it to the party, so I could take pictures. My "job" was to take pictures of the kids, but all the moms brought their own camera...needless to say, I didn't take too many pictures. However, the stroller still came in handy. When it was time to eat, Dylan nursed for a while and drifted off to la-la land. Perfect timing, I love getting to eat when everyone else does, so I laid him down in the stroller and used his costume as a pillow. Mommy got to eat in peace without extra hands trying to grab her food. After lunch, the kids played games and decorated some paper lunch bags to take their candy home. By the end of the party, the rain had stopped. The nasty day became a nice day. Hopefully the weather holds up so that we can go to Pumpkinfest and to Gentry's Farm tomorrow. Please pray for Damien as he's been sick since he got home today and pray that Dylan and I don't get it. I haven't let him come close to Dylan as I do not want us to be sick.
