So I thought that I would not be called to sub today, I was wrong. I got up, walked the dogs and as soon as I walked in the door, the phone was ringing. "Yes this is Heritage Middle, can you come sub today" "Sure what time does school start" "7:30" I look at the clock, oh it's 7:25. Needless to say, I made it there it about 20 minutes. I had 3 classes, as my first class was with another teacher watching a video when I got there.
I taught 1 science class and 2 social studies. After lunch, I had my planning period. Then, it was club day, so kids went to their clubs. My club, flag football, so outside I got to go. Pretty easy overall...thankfully. I only had one incident where a student smacked another student in the face (this was my first class of the day). Needless to say he spent the day in ISS. I had one girl ask if we could be best friends and go shopping, and I think one boy was about to hit on me until he realized I was pregnant. He started off by complementing me and my nose ring it was "tight" (which I need to take out but am scared to) then he looked down for the full body scan and noticed the bump and said, oh you have a baby. I laughed on the inside.
Hopefully all my gigs will go as smooth as today went. I have a feeling I will be busy as 6 other schools called this morning after I already accepted the Heritage Middle one.

Hopefully they go even smoother than this one? There is a school about 15 minutes from you called Winstead Elementary (by the new target center, etc) and that's where I student taught. I loved that place!! I hope you are feeling good now days, love the blog.
