Nursery phase 1

Damien worked all weekend on the nursery. As most of you know, he's a perfectionist, so he put in many hours making sure everything was just right. I wanted so bad to jump in and help him, but couldn't since I am not suppose to be around paint. That didn't stop me from checking in on the progress and visiting with him throughout the weekend.

He finished painting Sunday night around 9:00, and we did the big reveal last night by pulling off all the tape. I cannot wait until we get the furniture and the bedding to finish the room. Once we get the big items, then I can accessorize. My friend Jill, who is a talented artist, is making me a painting for the room. It will have 2 adult elephants and a baby elephant following (a little Alabama representing). I am going to start painting the letters that will go over the crib, so hopefully I will get those done by the weekend and hang them on the wall.
