Funny Friday

In an earlier post, I mentioned that growing up, our family got together with the Scott family on the weekends, as their kids were the same age as my brother and me. I was chatting with Janine, the daughter, the other day and she said do you remember that time....and I started laughing, I said, yes, I think about that a lot and laugh.  I told her I was going to have to blog about it....so here it is.

I was probably about 7 years old which would have made Janine about 9 years old, depending on what month this took place. I remember random details, like we had just got new carpet and we were sitting in the door way of my bedroom. I left the room and came back with each one of us a "snack". I gave her snack to her and kept mine. I said, have you tried these yet? They are so good! They are pigs in a blanket. (However, you may know them more as snausages. Yes that's right, I was giving her dog treats. I didn't think she would eat it.) I pretended to put mine in my mouth and in her mouth, the "snack" went. She started chewing, and I bursted into laugher. Through my hysterics, I was able to muster that it was a dog treat. I guess I remember that we had new carpet, because like Old Faithful gushing out water, so the treat came flying out of her mouth onto the carpet.  If memory serves me, she was mad.  (Janine maybe you can comment on your feelings.) I am glad that we can share a laugh about it now.

Oh that's just classy right there!!! Haha, I'm sure her retribution is still coming for that one.

That's great! I knew there was something about you that really stood out. I am proud to be your friend.

I say that, but come to think of it, I voluntarily ate dog food because my uncle (who is only three years older than me) and my brother told me they did it and it was cool. I remember it SO clearly. It's salty, if you ever wondered.

Oh, I can't WAIT until your boy is old enough to get in trouble for being as ornery as you. :) Those are going to be some fun posts...
