For those not familiar with www.zappos.com, let me share my first experience with you. I went shopping yesterday for some decent flip flops. If you know me, I tend to be cheap and by flip flops for the summer from Wal-Mart, Old Navy or Target. The flip flops get me by for the summer, but leave memories with me, in the form of cracked heels.
I decided, I am going to treat myself to some good flip flops. Some that offer support and will not hurt my feet. I went to Dicks and another outdoor store in downtown Franklin. I found some flip flops I liked, but of course, they didn't have my size. I decided to come home and see if I could find a good deal on-line. Now, I have never purchased from Zappos before, but I know plenty of people who have and they raved about it. They give you shots of the shoes from every angle, and they have free shipping both ways. Meaning if you don't like the shoes or they don't fit, then when you ship them back, it's free. How great is that. Then the perk of not having to pay tax is a plus as well. I ordered a 2 pack of REEF flip flops for $46, same pair one in black and one in brown. I placed the order around 4:30pm. I was shocked when I got the shoes around 1:00pm today!!! I got the shoes in less than 24 hours. My preggy swollen feet say thank you Zappos. If I would have purchased these shoes yesterday in the store (if they had my size), it would have been about $49, so I saved money as well - $3 dollars, that's almost a gallon of gas.

That's great about the shoes. Now, I don't know about shoes/clothing online, but I order books, specifically my textbooks, from www.alibris.com. They're VERY cheap and VERY quick. I found a used book on John Adams there for about half of what I would've paid for it brand new! Forget half.com. Alibris rules!
