Cheekwood Tree Houses

I have never taken the kids to Cheekwood. I think I have only been there myself maybe 2 times, but everyone was talking about the tree house exhibit that they had.  It was the last weekend for it, so we bit the bullet and took the kids. The weather was gorgeous, so how could we not.

First we started with a picnic lunch.

The grounds at Cheekwood are beautiful.  You cannot go without being in awe with the landscaping and all of God's creation.  We literally stopped to smell the flowers. (Natalie's cross armed pose, is typical...see where you can find it in other posts).

Then the fun began.  They only a few treehouses...maybe 6 total, but they were way cool. I wish we had a few in our backyard.  Dylan wanted one and said to him, I am sure Daddy can make it.  Damien was not thrilled that I said that, so I had to explain to Dylan, that Daddy did not have that skill.  HA.

This treehouse was probably my favorite.  It's like a mini house, complete with an upstairs loft and swings underneath.  Loved it.
There was a fish made completely of CDs.
It was a little warm inside it.

The a really cool ball contraption.  (over exposed I know)

Daddy and Dylan took a little walk around the pond and even saw a snapping turtle.
 The Jolly Roger - A'hoy  ( I think this was Dylan's favorite)
Natalie and I reenacted Titanic on the Jolly Roger :)

Then there was this statue that freaked Natalie out a bit.  She wanted to touch it so bad but then chickened out.  Finally she touched it and did her little laugh like she was so proud of herself for doing it.

At the end of the trip, guess who bought a season pass to Cheekwood! We can't wait to go to their Scarecrows and Pumpkins exhibit next :)
