Watch Natalie Grow - 6 months

Half way to the one year mark and our little cakes still has is....well, little.  Although she is getting a few rolls on her legs.  She is still having issues with acid reflux.  (I don't know if I have mentioned that in the blog yet) It seems to have gotten more frequent, so we decided to try the chiropractor (aka bone doctor to Dylan).  When we first took her in, there were several adjustments to be made (around 4 or 5) and we had hoped that would help.  Of course, it's not a one and done deal with the bone doctor, we made several visits. After about 7 visits, which are not cheap I might add, we decided to try medicine.  I have been dead set against medicating but it just got to the point where I was getting stressed by doing laundry, cleaning floors and worrying about her weight and being in pain, that I couldn't take it any longer. We wanted to make sure that we were being her advocate and trying everything that we could to help her.  It seemed that the day we started the meds, was the first day that she went in a long time without having an episode.  We shall see how it goes.

Natalie and I at the chiro.  This was the first time she cried (like her 5th visit) so I couldn't get a pic of just her on the table like I planned.

We have only given Natalie oatmeal and cereal so far, and that hasn't been consistent.  I purchased a baby bullet so I am going to attempt to make her food. I didn't do this with Dylan, although I wanted to, so we shall see if I last.  I figure being the second child, she's getting gipped on some things, so I should make an effort on others.

At 6 months she :

- continues to roll everywhere
- pushes up and thrusts herself forward (not crawling)
- laughs at her big brother and loves whenever he is around
- can sit up
- eats anywhere from 24 oz - 30oz a day
- eats oatmeal and cereal at least once a day
- weighs 13lbs 15oz and 24.75 inches long (although the doctor said she thinks there was a wrong measurement)
- gets excited when I drink from a cup and enjoys getting a sip of water

- doesn't spit up/throw up as much as she use to, thankfully
