It was providential that I ran into one of our neighbors who actually sews and embroiders clothes. I half jokingly mentioned that she could do it and she really offered. I was so thankful to have this as a back up in case I couldn't figure it out. Of course, I didn't, so I took the fabric to her. I am so grateful to have a sweet neighbor like her, thanks K :)
My little ghost was not wanting to get ready for Halloween. At that point, I was thankful that I hadn't bought an expensive costume from the store. After some persuading, I finally got Dylan in the bathroom to start his transformation. Then he was excited to put his costume on.
Trick or treating was another story. We got in the wagon to hit up a few houses on the street and he was very reluctant to get out of the wagon unless he knew who's house it was. After a few houses, he got the hang of it and started saying which houses he wanted to go to. He really enjoyed giving out candy to the kids too. He had a great night.
About 2 months ago, we got a sales catalog in the mail for p@rty city. Dylan and I looked at that thing every day for a few days straight. We talked about the costumes and which one he would want to be. He would pick one out on each page. When it came down to it, I asked what he wanted to be, and his reply, a ghost. I am not domestic in the sewing department in any way. I would like to be, but I am not. I tried my hardest to push a bought costume on him, but to no avail, he still wanted to be a ghost. I finally went to the fabric store to purchase the ghost materials all while I was thinking how am I going to do this.
