On Wednesday, our local library had a birthday party for Dr. Seuss. I heard that Cat in the Hat would be making a guest appearance, so I thought it sounded like a fun idea. Well, I guess all the stay at home moms and dads had the same idea. The place was jammed packed with kids and adults. It was miserable. I am not sure who thought it would be a good idea to read 3 Dr. Seuss books,
oh the places you will go, green eggs and ham and
the cat in the hat, but it really wasn't that great of an idea. I mean have you read any of his books? They are super long. Then imagine how long it was for the kids after they mentioned cake. I really enjoyed the Cat in the Hat story as they incorporated characters reading the story. The lady doing the fish stayed in character the whole time and cracked me up....her making fish faces...hehehe.

After story time and after the room cleared out, we went back in and got some cake...we passed on the green eggs and ham. Then we stopped by and said hi to the Cat in the Hat. Dylan was hesitant at first but he was willing to give her, ahem him, a hug.
