Fast Asleep

Kids can sleep in the most awkward postions.  Not that this is awkward, but I don't know if I could sleep with a hooded blanket on.

Air Quotes

Dylan has been caught using air quotes a time or two.  I was told by his teachers the other day, that they get a kick out of Dylan and his use of air quotes.  The most recent one they could think of was him saying and I air quote .....but I don't want to be (pause) "competitve"

I told his teachers that he needs to keep his air quotes in his pockets until he learns how to use them correctly. They then said they have caught themselves using them more often.

Dylan is quite the trickster and his lead teacher Miss Amy says that sometimes she doesn't know if he's joking or not until he says Miss Amy, I am just joking.

Messy Pinterest Fun

Bentley, Dylan's "best friend", came over for a play date.  The boys wanted something to do and I knew just the thing.  I looked up on pinterest what I needed and pulled out the cornstarch and shaving cream. Thankfully Damien suggested they go outside, because it was one crazy mess. Dylan is not a fan of having his hands dirty so he was good for about 3 minutes.  Bentley played a little longer. Note to self, the clean is more than the fun. I will save you the pain of learning that lesson for yourself.

Wine Troubles

Apparently, I am clueless about wine. We once went to Sonoma and did a wine tasting tour. It wasn't that much fun as I am not a huge wine fan, but I do enjoy some white wine now.

Where I am totally clueless is opening wine. I have never been able to open a bottle without problems.  Today was no exception, after trying to open a bottle for a crock pot recipe, I was finally able to get enough out of the little hole I caused in the cork.

Later, my friend, Andrea, came over and I showed it to her. Yea she just twisted the top off. AAHHH

Wild About the Library

We love our local library. Story time with Mrs Marcia is the best. She sings songs, plays the guitar and is just great with the kids. I love that our library does programs regularly, like this one, where the guy comes in and brings 5 or so animlas and teaches the kids about the. Last year, it was so crowded, that this year, they handed out tickets. Thankfully we happened to get ours and loved seeing the animals.
